01 • Size

Width: across the ribbon

Width is the distance from one edge to the other. Several of our designer ribbons, including Volcanic Ti and Blue Hawaiian, are listed at 7/8 inch (about 22 mm).

Check the individual product listing for its width and match it to your pattern. A wider ribbon can change the size and shape of the finished piece.

02 • Quantity

Length: on the roll

Roll length tells you how much ribbon you receive. Selected designer ribbons offer 50-yard and 100-yard options. Available lengths vary by product.

50 yards = 150 feet
100 yards = 300 feet

Choose the length on the product page before adding it to your cart.

03 • Finish

Double-faced satin

Double-faced satin has a smooth, satin finish on both sides. It is useful for projects where the ribbon twists, folds, or shows on both sides.

The finish describes the fabric surface; it does not mean every design looks identical on the front and back. Check the product photos for the design.

How much ribbon will I need?

Start with the instructions for your specific lei or project. The pattern, finished size, number of strands, and cut length all affect the amount you need. Allow extra for practice, knots, and finishing.

For cut pieces: number of pieces × length of each piece in inches ÷ 36 = yards needed, before adding your allowance.

For example, 120 pieces at 6 inches each use 20 yards before extra allowance. This is a measurement example, not a lei recipe.
